Code Inspector in NM

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Code Inspector to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards. The Code Inspector will conduct inspections, review plans, and enforce codes related to construction, safety, zoning, or technical standards depending on the organization’s needs. This role requires strong analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Electrical Engineer in Livermore, CA

We are looking for a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as an Electrical Engineer. Our engineering organization has responsibilities in engineering, operations, planning, and project execution. Our fast-paced setting necessitates that the candidate be comfortable with ambiguity and variability of assignment and accept the value of being in a service group. We seek a well-rounded individual, adept at problem solving in a variety of settings.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Develop and/or contribute to development of project studies, plans, schedules, and estimates.
  • Lead or be a part of a multi-disciplined group to perform engineering calculations, design construction drawings, and develop specifications for construction packages to meet customer requirements, relevant building codes, environmental regulations, safety regulations, and corporate standards.
  • Review plans for constructability and completeness as well as improve cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage construction progress in accordance with design requirements, codes, customer needs, and site standards via interfaces with external, internal, contracted resources, for the completion of construction work in compliance with established site standards, codes, scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Assess electrical building and utility systems and site infrastructure issues, conceptualize potential solutions, make recommendations, and provide technical direction for operations, energy efficiency, conservation, and optimization.
  • Enhance preventive maintenance procedures, and perform electrical systems asset management surveys.
  • Perform as electrical systems single point of contact subject matter expert and provide technical direction to engineering, operations, planning, and project execution.  

This position is based in Livermore, CA, and the selected applicant will be expected to work onsite a majority of the time, as most of the work needs to be conducted onsite. If the applicant is from out of state, they will be expected to relocate to the assigned site location. 

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant field plus five or more years of relevant experience.
  • Experience performing electrical design for various building systems, site electrical distribution, lighting, or other specialized electrical design relevant to modification/sustainment of existing facilities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current national electrical codes as well as State of California Building and energy efficiency codes.
  • Ability to manage projects from concept through design, construction, and closeout.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Desired

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license (PE) in the State of California or ability to obtain certification within one year of hire.
  • Detailed knowledge of the electrical industry and ability to produce specifications for bid purposes.
  • Ability to think critically and make decisions requiring engineering judgment.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with California Building Codes (CBC).
  • PMP certification from the Project Management Institute or demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through design and construction.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization with both internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to successfully plan, organize, lead, and monitor team efforts to completion.
  • Experience with sustainable design and acquiring Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.
  • Knowledge / experience in facilities design, construction, and O&M industry best practices and standards.
  • Experience utilizing AutoCAD or similar drafting software.

  • Support the development of F&I and Corporate level metrics and trending analysis reporting to improve overall SNL performance
  • Support ad-hoc data requests and development of self-serve data visualizations to enable partners throughout the laboratory

Electrical Engineer

nStone is seeking individuals with an Electrical Engineering degree with interest in systems design, operations, and maintenance. This job opportunity will expose the individual to all aspects of electrical engineering theory and real-world application of engineering principles. It is a highly dynamic job experience that includes new system design review, standards and code interpretation and application, system troubleshooting, systems operational analysis, project requirements development, and maintenance specification review and recommendations.

Project Manager & Construction Manager

nStone Corporation is hiring for project and construction management positions in Livermore, CA and Albuquerque, NM. Responsibilities include overseeing complex projects from concept to completion, coordinating with engineers, customers, and construction teams to meet cost, scope, and schedule requirements. The role involves risk management, design reviews, resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards. Candidates should have expertise in project management, facilities engineering, and earned value management techniques, along with strong communication and leadership skills to drive successful project execution. Cleanroom experience and Sandia National Labs a plus.

Salary potential, depending on degree and years of experience, ranges from $85,000 - $180,000

Construction Estimator/Cost Analyst

nStone Corporation seeks a Construction Estimator/Cost Analyst in Albuquerque, responsible for preparing government estimates, reviewing architect and engineer estimates, analyzing contractor proposals, and tracking estimating trends for projects at Sandia National Laboratories. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience), have five years' estimating experience in facilities projects, be eligible for DOE clearance, and possess strong communication skills.
